I'm just starting my career, and I want to get that on track first.

Any man that gets "sucked dry" it is his own damn fault. Tell her to get a job and cut her off, lol! Unless you are independently wealthy, quit your B i t c hin and whinning! As far as getting married...the young guys they have nothing to judge it by, so they are poocee wipped, and sex runs their thinking, after a marriage, they will experience the meaning. Its like...you cant tell someone what to do if they haven't experienced it yet, and they ain't gonna listen too anybody no matter what you say.
You can tell who is and isnt married just by reading this.
I have been married 10yrs not quite as cynical as AOM.Yet I try and take the good with the bad. I chose to get married so i have no one to blame but myself.
Theres days i wouldnt trade my wife for anything. You can just see the love and adoration in her eyes.I would do anything just to see her eyes light up and that smile that melts me.
Then theres days i am at work diggin holes for footings for a new dock and thinkin if i tossed her in there this time tomorrow there would be 20 ft of concrete and rebar on top of her.

Couldn't have said it better myself. However, there are days I would trade my wife for a Peyton Manning SP rookie card or something nice like that.
I know. I chose to get married. And I do love my wife. But damn she can piss a brotha off good! I told my wife I wanted her to stay home and take care of this kids. That was my doing. I'm not a multi millionare, nor do I have Mick-G mad money, but we live nice. But you gotta understand, this is all new to me. Some of the old timers on here remember 3 years ago when I joined, I showed pictures of my little rinky dink 2 bedroom townhome with my enormously fat white trash neighbors? That's the way I was used to living. It didn't matter if I made $10,000 a year, or $100,000 a year. I was comfortable. I'm a saver. Now, I get married, the wife says "You know, we can afford a bigger home. And I do need spending money if I'm home with the kids. And I need this........."
No wonder married men drink!
And Kenzie, if you make your own money and support yourself, I'm calling you if me and the wife get divorced.

LOL At the last part, I work construction operating heavy equipment and think how easy would be just to put her down about 30 feet in the ground never to be seen again LOL. Never would but like you said there are days those thoughts cross your mind.

I do my share of spending, lol, but 1600. on a washer, lol??? Ive had these Maytags both washer and dryer was less than 900. new and ive had them since i built the house in 88' so that is 17yrs, and the only thing ive had replaced is the thermostat and few loose wires. I have a guy that i call that is a handyman and it only cost me a few bucks to have him do anything and he said that if these ever do go out, the best to buy are the Whirlpool ones because Maytag is bought out and the Maytags are not that good anymore. His recommendation...do not buy the front loaders and absolutely don't buy the ones with the touch buttons. They are like 300. a shot to repair and have many problems. He said when iam ready to buy just call him and he will tell me the best model in Whirlpool to get that is least expensive to fix or have probs with.
