So normal is less than 150 right? Mine is 996! Strange thing is my total cholesterol is under 200 and my damn HDL's are under 5 again and I'm not even on anything, well except for an antibiotic and some antihistamines! I eat relatively clean, take in a good amount of flax oil and natural sources of omega 3's so I just don't get it. The doc put me on Omacor to help out, so we'll see how it goes.

Re: Holy triglycerides batman!
Did you fast overnight before the test? That can throw things off.
Also, triglycerides are also made in the body from excess carbs. This sends a warning sing to me bro that maybe you body isn't breaking down carbs as good as it should. Carbs that aren't burned turn to fat and if your tri's are that high, then you have some serious issues going on. I would fast overnight and go have them checked again. If they are still high, I would have your pancrease checked to make sure you are producing enough insulin. If you catch this in time (that is, if it's an issue) you can easily go on a lower carb diet and maybe avoid full blown diabetes.
Go get another test asap and do it after fasting, that's the only way to know for sure bro. Also, you are probably going to have to get regular cardio into your program. 3 days a week atleast to help burn that stuff up. But, dont' worry until you get a second test.
