Man, so far we are up to about 18-24 inches of snowfall in Colorado Springs (not counting the snow drifts). We are basically stuck at the house. The city requested ALL businesses to close early yesterday and repeated it today. Of course, they can't make you, but you'd have to be a real dumb ass to get out in this without a very good reason. One of my bros had to go out yesterday and he said there were literally dozens and dozens of vehicles stranded. He's a native and has a beefed of 4X4, so he knows the right and wrong way to navigate this stuff. He said most people don't realize that it's more than just the snow, must cars don't have enough ground clearance to drive when it's this deep. The city has been out with the Snow Cats to rescue people. I've been stuck in the house with my wife and son and we are about to kill each other. LOL Tomorrow is my son's 4th B-Day and it looks like we won't be able to do anything. They have trucks out non stop but this stuff just keeps piling up too fast. Some people sent in photos to the news station and they had snow drifts up to 7 feet tall in some areas. Thankfully, I don't think anyone was injuried because it came during the night so most people just didn't go to work. Well, most smart people. There are the idiots who think their 4x4's are magic and just end up in a ditch. When will people learn, it's four whell go, not four wheel stop.
