Well the Bimmers I'm looking at for that price range have about 70k miles on them and really don't have warranties available. But not a biggie because their transmissions and engines are bulletproof. It's their electrical systems that are known for problems! I have a scan tool for BMW's that reads the computer to let me know what problems they have so I'll do a diagnostic before I'd buy it.

Id see what i can find locally in used cars first. Might find a better deal with lower miles. Ive seen some demos with 15-20K miles for 10K and under. May not be a bemmer, but why do you care so much. Put the 20k in a 10% interest CD ive seen some banks offering them.

Because I'm an aggressive driver and need speed under my foot. I also want something that's relatively safe now that I'll have a child. I don't want some normal boring, slow, crappy looking car. I'm a car enthusiast and prefer something that I'll have pride in. Which is why I've narrowed it down to a few choices.

As for the CD thing I think I will be investing whatever else is left to supplement my money. Good point there bro!

the hemi challenger will more than likely have MDS so if you do alot of highway driving the mileage wont be SO horrible, still nothing to brag about though.....

When it comes to cars, get what you want. If you really want the challenger I say get it, but while your waiting dont get a used eclipse, they have terrible transmissions, most of them die after 90000 miles. If your just looking for a used car to get you through the year go for a 99-00 civic, cant go wrong, they are very reliable cars and will deff. get you through a year hassle free. I would recommend some cars, but I know your taste is the polar opposite of mine. Good luck!

                  Re: New car opinions?????

No I don't think I'm explaining myself right. Let me try again.

When I win my case they take my vehicle from me. So I then am forced to buy another car. This is why I must get a car until the car I really want is available to the public.

The cars I mentioned are basically what I will want. I don't want a honda because why buy a honda when I can have a BMW with 20k more miles on it. They aren't even in the same class. Also safety wise I don't want to be in a honda over a BMW or Volvo. Plus Honda's are slow unless you plan on being a ricer and dumping 3 grand into the engine just to make it as fast as the BMW or Volvo would be stock.

What my question was should I buy a 99-02 used car like the three I mentioned for around 10k and save the other money until the Challenger/Camaro come out?

Or should I spend 25k on a 2005 Volvo S60 R and just sell it when the Challenger/Camaro come out?

Again I don't want a slow car. I don't care about economy. I want speed, safety, and looks for around 10k. The only car currently I will spend considerably more for is the S60R.

and to add a little more 20mpg, the trade in value will still be very high bc of how rare these cars are and bc they new shelbys are crazy expensive you can go just as fast for 1/3 the price

Seriously I'd appreciate it if you read this before you post. I have reasoning behind what my choices were. I don't want a Mustang or a honda or a Z or a plane or a rocketship.

Plus it says NOTHING OVER 10K UNLESS IT'S AN 05 VOLVO S60 R! Not to drag it on but I didn't spend the time explaining my question for exercise. I explained it so I could hopefully get a relevant answer!

So with that said how is a Mustang Cobra a S60R?

And being I said no more than 10k for anything but an S60R how are you figuring your 03 Cobra for $26 or $30k fall under the category of NO MORE THAN 10 THOUSAND DOLLARS???

And yes no a cobra is not an S60R or is it under 10k but hey if someones into other sports cars they could very well be interested in a cobra as well.
