so, every year, my wifes job, put's on a company xmas party. we always go, as it has never interfered with my co. parties. well, this year is diff. i informed my wife back in early nov. that our party is the 2nd dec. she tlls her boss in a company meeting (my aunts husband owns the place my wife works)(oh, and he's not my fuggin uncle!!!) well, the next day they inform her it's the same day....well, thats not gonna happen she tells them....long story short, my boss tries to get ours moved (i did not ask for that) and cant, and her job notifies her that they MAY be handing out bonus checks, and it would be in her best intrest to post or she wont be included in bonus!!! i fuggin lost it!! the 2 parties start at the same time, and are 30-40mins from eachother. i should be there (at mine) to greet the guest. my company also flipped for a room for us (remember dui?) so i wouldnt have to drive....my wife really dont want to go to her's after that little trick, but i told her last years bonus was pretty good, and this years will be better. so, she wants to go in while i park out front, give her 2mins then start laying on the horn, lol. ( i love that girl, lmao). the prob. is, i would go in there and really embaress the sh!t out of them to their employee's. the employee's already, constently question the managment deccisions becouse, quite honestly, they make very poor ones. if it wasnt for my wife and 2-3 other good employee's the place would tank, and they know it. but, it's my aunts xmas too. and i have alot of respect for her (just not her choice of hubby decissions!). i dont know what to do...my wife really dont care. she realizes my position, and she was the one that stated i needed to be there early to greet the guest's! (i dont think of crap like that)....do we go to hers for an appearence or f*ck them!!

ugh...Dave, you made me read the whole thing and the whole time I keep waiting to hear some wild story that might possible involve a paddle, butter flavored Crisco, a shaved goat, or maybe even midgets on trapezes.

so I'll have to think about it and give you my decision later when I'm over the disappointment

Well, obviously do whatever you want, lol.

If both positions are important it's almost like trying to satisfy both sets of parents, go early to yours greet, stay until little before halftime, then go to hers, and above all let both folks know what the game plan is, and how you will do it.

Why, SHOW ME THE MONEY HONEY, the emotional crap of this shit will be over in 2-3 weeks a month at most, more emotional shit will happen, and then you'll be like, damned that 2 -3 grand or whatever we coulda had a new flat screen or paid for car repairs.

Hmmm....that would piss me off to no end. First off, if it was my aunt I would call her and say 'what kind of BS is this?'. Tell her that her husband has went out of his way to make it to where you won't get to spend any time with her at the Christmas party because he planned it the same night and time as yours. Tell her you are pissed because you were looking forward to spending the time with her and on top of that, he said your wife won't get her check unless she comes. And finish by saying 'I thought we were all family here.'

Now, if I wanted to be nice (lol) I would just go to both and spend the most of your time at her's with your aunt and then grab your wifes check and head over to yours. There ain't to way in hell you aunt's husband would be ballsy enough to hold your wife's check right in front of you and his wife. LOL That actually puts him on the spot.

so...we decided to stop in...i was going to try to be a good boy, grab the check and bail. well, the directions were horrible. the place was not even on the road we were told. after 15 additional min's trying to find the place, my wife said "f'it, lets get to yours"
at my party, my boss who i called to tell him what happened, asked the other employee's if they wopuld mind post poning dinner for 15mins to allow us time to be there!! i couldnt believe that! the party was first class all the way with gifts for every employee and there date/spouces!
i did call my aunt to appologize for not being able to attened. i told her about the ultimatum that was issued to my wife (who she loves dearly) and she came unclued. she garunteed that there is no way she will stand for it, and suggested the my wifes boss fabricated that ultimatum (as apposed to her hubby). whatever....
i so want her to walk from this place, but the pay is good, and with this one exception, they do treat her like she walks on water....we'll see...i'm still pissed, but it was an awsome night!!
