Does anyone know how long the wait is usually meaning waiting in line to get one when it first comes out ? Probably spend a night outdoors to get one ? I know these are gonna be selling like crazy for christmas ! The XBOX went for over 2g's when it first came out I cant imagine PS3's

When the first Xbox came out, I went to Target at 5am and they were handing out numbers at the front door outside, and the first 50 people got one, I was number 20 I think. I'm not into video games that much anymore so I could give a rats ass about the PS3 and 360. Only game I play is Halo 2 online, and my Nintendo DS with my daughter.

Im not in it for playing, Im in it for selling I dont have time anymore to play games but when I did , I was a Madden crack addict ! ur paying what 300-400 for this system and sell it on ebay for over 2g's when christmas swings around nice extra cash !

actually the ps3 is goignt o be 600 for a base model and 700 for the better deal and everyone will be wanting the 700 dollar model as it has many more features

I recent story I just heard is that the PS3 will not play all the older PS2 and PS1 games, it is not a glitch and they expected it to happen. Some games play very little, and some don't play at all. The problems are already beginning.

600-700$ still profit ...probably gonna sell for more then if the base price is that much .I think xbox was 400 when it came out ? Well I havnt worked for about 2 months so any type of income is nice hehe

It's going for 500 for the base model and 600 for the top model which includes a beefier hard drive. They come blu ray equipped and you can surf the net on it through your television. It's basically like having a computer hooked to your tv.
As for the wait time I'm going to get there 30 hours before release. Money talks is all I've got to say.
BTW, all this talk about 50 units and such is just a dream. The PS3 is in such limited numbers they are saying it will be 10 units or less per store. So basically if your not the first ten in line then your wasting your time!

Because if you go to an auction site and sell it, you are not trying to sell it for more than you bought it. But if people bid for more than you paid then it's their perogative.

Let me put it this way...I went to Bestbut Monday night to get a new portable DVD player for my son and there were already 7 tents outside along the sidewalk. 7 phukin tents!!! Now, I live in Colorado and every singe night the temperature since Monday has been down in the 20's and we got snow on Tuesday night. By tonight or tomorrow morning....there's going to be a shitload of people in line.
I will do like I always do and wait 2 years to buy one. By that time there are a lot more games, the bugs are all worked out and the price is about 1/2.
As far as them not playing PS2 and PS1 games thats not a problem. With the PS3 you will be able to literally go online and download the old games right to the hardrive. Also, you never need to keep up with memory cards again. It functions more like a computer but with much faster speed and better graphics. I watched a whole show on it on some gaming thing they do on Spike TV and it was pretty damn cool.
