I've been using a local civic center ($85 a year) and since I started traveling with this new job I need to probably join a gym. The hotel fitness rooms pretty much such. Anyway anyone have any opinions about chains or ideas. I'm in the Southeast..spend my time in AL, MS, LA.

I was with powerhouse gym for a long time in bama. Then I moved to world gym for about 3 years until they tried to screw me on renewing my contract. I've been at golds for the past year or so and it is by far my favorite. I'm sure that Golds are around those three states.

I thought one of those might be my best bet. I just hate to pay the high monthly payment. Of course coming from $85 a year is going to be a huge change no matter what.

No luck there aren' any in LA or Miss, which surprises me, and thare aren't any in North Alabama.

Maybe, try looking at some of the YMCA's they usually have pretty good gyms.

That's what I'm thinking. None of the big names Golds, Powerhouse,etc...had one in all 3 states. I may just have to wind up finding a local gym everywhere I go and pay $10 or so for the week. See how good my sales skills are!

Wait. ANOTHER person from Alabama? WTF? The whole phuquing state just gets electricity 2 years ago, 98% of the residents can't spell electricity, but everyone has a computer. I guess the news that you can see pictures of people phuquing animals on the computer spread like wildfire through the entire state. That's why O2 bought a computer.
