Where does yours come from? For me it started out as just a dream. I've always been inspired by the strength and muscularity of guys like Paul Anderson, Kaz, Arnold and cats like that. Those guys lit the spark for my training. Now it's so much more. If I had to point at any one thing and say this is what drives me, it would be my family. Gone are the days of lifting for just me, not that there's anything wrong with that, I think that's how most of us start out. These days, my drive comes from the little comments my kids and wife make. My 8 yr old wants me to flex when we're around other people like at his school or when he sees one of his little friends at Wal Mart. My 6yr old draws pictures of me with HUGE arms, of course my arms are no where near the way she depicts them but it' how she sees her daddy. The other two are too young to say or do these types of things, but I want to make them proud. My wife says things about my physique, and it makes me want to make it better to please her and give her the gift of my work. I know all of this may sound cheezy and no, I'm not clomid lol, I just wanted to share with all of you a little bit of who I am. Now it's your turn to post and share where your strength comes from.

Re: Strength
Basically the drive comes from myself. I like seeing the differences my training is doing. It is really the only thing one can do and have total control over. Sure it is nice to have someone compliment you as well, but i like to look good and feel good. Maybe iam vain, but it is motivating to see changes that are directly related to what you are doing, and everytime you have a good workout you feel even better.

Re: Strength
I too like to see the changes in my own body. I absolutely despise the feeling of being fat and out of shape. I have always been absolutely amazed by the look of pro. BB and how much work goes into transforming a physique into a work of art. I guess all in all I like seeing the fruits of my labor, but don't we all.

Re: Strength
My drive comes from me as well. Eversince I was little I wanted huge bicep muscles like Pop-eye!!! Then when I saw re-runs of the Incredible Hulk on the sci-fi channel I definitely wanted to be huge all around! When I turned 15 I started my journey to become big. I've kept at it for 11 years now and I won't ever stop until I'm buried. Setting new goals and seeing how close I get to accomplishing those goals are what keeps me motivated.
This quote is what motivates me as well : "Your body is a girft from God, what you do with your body is a gift to God."

Re: Strength
My drive comes from being super skinny all of my life. I was always called beanpole, stick, twig boy, blade (if I turn sideways I disapper like a blade) the list goes on and on. So I used all of the negative shit I was put thru as a fire to drive me to get bigger. Once I started getting positive compliments It became an obsession to get bigger. It feels so good to run into people that used to make fun of you, that are fat slobs or beanpoles now, and I'm twice their size. The fact I grew a few more inches taller since they last saw me adds to the dramatic effect also!

Now it's your turn to post and share where your strength comes from.or it would probably be more accurate to say my family magnifies my drive. Mostly my drive comes from the functionality of being in good (decent) shape. Your more independent and your more prepared for instances that may require strength/endurance, that an untrained person would not have - luck favors the prepared. So independence and paranoia drive me and family gives me more incentive. Oh and sex is more fun, so that's a biggie!
