  • Finally Did It!!!

I have a partial thickness tear in my rotator cuff which I told you guys about a while back. Well I was doing a light set of bench and finished tearing the whole thing. I went to the doctor today and surgery is set for the 26th of Sept. What sucks is I am going to lose all the size I just put on and will have to start right back over.

That sucks! Do you feel the pain from the back of your shoulder all the way thru your tricep to around your elbow?? Just trying to figure out if I have a similar injury?

Mine's completely torn, was supposed to have surgery like 3 years ago on it but I put it off. Doesnt really bother me that much anymore but you can see the dent behind my shoulder where it was. One of these days I'll get it fixed.

Sorry to hear it bro, I know the pain all to well. Hope you have a speedy recovery.

Its funny, but my range of motion is not affected very bad. Now it hurts like spit but I can still move it.

My ROM is fine too, however when I hold my arm straight out in front of me, I have absolutely no strength. I believe this is due to the cantilever action that the shoulder has, and if there is a tear than you no longer have any support.

No Diggler. It is pretty localized to the rotator cuff area. It is almost a perfect mix between sharp and dull pain in the center of my shoulder.

I never thought to work my rotator cuffs until it was too late. Everyone does the sexy lefts like overhead presses and what not but without a strong rotator cuff holding everything in place your in for problems.

Been there, done that. It'll heal up, just baby it after your surgery and stay the hell away from overhead presses.

Welcome to the family! I hit a all time high of 250 pounds in body weight when I tore my achilles. What do you think I will weigh when I can train it again? Well, at least I can still train upper body but most my size is in my legs so I will lose a lot, I'm sure. My calf is already starting to atrophy from being immobilized.
I used to have superhuman powers....until my therapist took them away.
