How can you say this Dave?? Honda is way better in quality than grand prix or fusion,( have you looking inside these cars and compare them to Toyota or Honda? and look at the interior quality?, engines, detail on body and paint?) but you are a "Ford" guy, and i have known many, so i know you can't change ones way of thinking, lol! What i mean by quality is the engineering and the components and even the interior material used is of better quality. If you are to ask most ppl that buy imports, they will tell you the reason they are not buying Ford, or GMs is that they are getting better product for a similar price and less depreciation when going to trade it in.

mick i don't agree with u on this one. i'm in the car business and we got all kinds of cars (domestic/imported) and to tell u the truth the difference in "quality" is not as big as people portray it to be... our cars domestic AND foreign both break down just as much and they all seem to have similar problems... we deal with dealerships and their service departments directly (ford, gm, chrysler, mazda, nisan, jaguar, honda, kia, hyndai, volvo, vw, etc.) and all of their servce staff has something bad to say about the cars they are dealing with or servicing... same with their customers. no matter what kind of car u drive they all have their bugs and they all break down just as easily... it doesn't matter if it's a taurus or some 100k jag or infinity, etc... true, there are some differences, but as far as quality, design, etc they are all VERY similar.

thanks..i was hoping for a third party. one that dosent seem as biased as me. the whole ford thing with me mick is, that's the frachises i've always worked for, so i know there product's, and financing in's and out's. mick, i'm a USEDCAR guy...i dont give a sh!t if it's a fuggin kia (witch has come a very far way) if it sell's, that's my baby!!! they are all piece's of sh!t. they will all cost you far more money, in the long run, then they'll be worth (extreme exotics excluded), and they all break down.
oh, and as far as honda's or toyota's interior...cant stand them. sorry if that bug's ya, but their seats kill my back, and i cant stand the placement of their knob's and button's. i dont really care about what kind of fabric there using, if it'll hold up over the many years or not...i lease!!! my wife's f150 will make it through the 2-3 years i'm leasing for, after that, why should i care!
hope i didnt come off as an @ss mick. i respect your opinion's, just dissagree.

I hate to see that, but the UAW did the same thing that the steel workers did...price themselves right out of a damn job!!! These guys( at least in ohio) are making$30 per hour for unskilled jobs, more for skilled. They get all kinds of ridiculous "breaks" which are paid...i heard 3 15 min a day, plus a half hour paid lunch. Not to count, they get more vacation time/sick days than any other industry...by far....they priced themselves right out of a job...bottom line

bingo!!! the exact same thing!! with the bennie's and wages, and bonuses these guy's get, it's no wonder that other manufacturer's can build something simaler, cheaper. they dont have near the overhead. it'll take toyota 30 years to be in this position. if they dont learn from the big three's mistake, that exactly where they'll be also.

we have 2 plants where i live and i know one is closing down, not sure about the other.
