saturn's are gay, i'd buy a pontiac before i bought a saturn. but personally, i wouldn't want to buy the FIRST of any car. let it be around for a few years so they can fix all the flaws.

So tell me...whose buying more ... chicks or homos?
yeah...they're basically priced the same...which is the better car...Pontiac or Saturn?
I think that's a toss up because, IMO, they are two of the better American car makers in terms of value for your dollar and customer service. My wife has had two Saturns and the customer service was outstanding. And, I know a few people who have nothing but great things to say about Pontiac. They've had their ups and downs but they do make some cars really well.
I used to have superhuman powers....until my therapist took them away.
the sky is a little more i the pontiac is 24 and the sky is 27
i think the saturn is the better car .. the sky has electric roof where is the pontiac i think is manual... i personaly don't think they look like chic or homo cars they are nice little roadsters they are competing with the new little lotus that just came out which runs for 40 something .....

They're both priced in the low 20,000's. I really havent actually looked at them on the lot, but I was going to this weekend. I mean whose to say after I drive it/them...I might not like it. Im use to having a lil bit of a back seat may not want it afterwards.

And you would know gay! LOL
Actually, my wife has had great experiences with the two Saturns she had so I don't see anything wrong with them. But, I agree whole heartedly with not buying the first ones. I bought a Hyundai Sonata when ther first came out and it had all kinds of issues. But, I bought another Hyundai about 5 years ago, got the bumper to bumper warranty extended to 100,000 miles for only $1,200 and I've been more than satisfied. I just recently had an alternator isssue and took it in and it was past the 60k mile mark. They honored it under the extended warranty and then they did a complete check of everything and fixed another $1,400 worth of things (something with the steering or front joints or something like that) that were questionable for free too. On top of that, they gave me a brand new 2006 loaner for 3 days while they waited to get the parts and the make the repairs. The fact that I have bumper to bumper coverage for 100,000 miles is very comforting. I put a lot of miles on my car with my job and it's good to know that this is the type of service I can expect. Now, I don't know, it may just be the one here that goes above and beyond. But, as long as they do, they have my business. To me, customer service is that the very top of my checklist. Right now, I can't buy more piece of mind for my money than this for what I do.

Pontiac and Saturn are both GM cars! I doubt either one will have better reliability than the other. They both use 2.4l 177 horsepower engines with Dual VVT. Withthe Solstice though, you can get an optional 2.0L Turbo Charged engine which outputs 260 horses.

Those cars will never compete with the Lotus Elise! My bro works for Lotus Cars USA in Atlanta and I've had the experience of riding in the Elise a few times and that car kicks the shit out of everything I've ever been in. It's fast as hell and it will out handle just about anything on the road. It doesn't have near the top speed of say a Vette, Viper or a Porche 911, but it will take all of them easily in handling and breaking.
It's funny if you think about it because Lotus created the Elise to be the less expensive competition to the Mercedes and BMW and now other cars are trying to do the same thing to them. However, let's not forget, Lotus has always been a sports car company. Where as Pontiac and Saturn have no experience in that area at all. They don't have cars in the Indy circuit, they don't have a reputation for building sports cars and this is their first attempt at it. It's going to take them a long time to get it anywhere near where Lotus has it. And when they finally figure it out, they will be in a very comparable price range. The engine in the Lotus is a modified Celica engine because the Rover engine they were going to use wouldn't pass the (can't think of the name) test. They basically thrash the engine for 400 hours to see if it holds up and it would take 3 rover engines to get the job done. The modified Celica engine passed with flying colors. And righfully so, it's made in Japan. There will never be an American engine that can compete with a Japanese or German engine any time soon. And that's why the Saturn and Pontiac will never compete with the Lotus. Well, they wont compete in handling either and again, this goes back to the fact that Lotus has cars in the Indy circuit and they know all about handling.

Here are some pics from the Lotus Warehouse in ATL where my bro works and one of the ones from Lotus.
Here is some infor on it:
An exotic mid-engine roadster new to the U.S. market for 2005, the Elise went on sale in Europe in 1996 and is now the best-selling Lotus model ever. True to Lotus founder Colin Chapman's vision of building innovative, lightweight, top-performing cars that are fun to drive, the Elise sits on a chassis weighing only 150 pounds, thanks to aluminum alloy extrusions and aerospace bonding techniques. Body panels are lightweight composite material. The Elise accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in less than 5 seconds and top speed is nearly 150 mph.
