Time for a new computer.....

I've had this Compaq Presario for about 2.5 years. Got a good deal on it so...yeah. Always have had problems with it and now that my monitor is going out, Im thinking of just getting a whole new set-up. I only use my computer for the internet (fitness boards) and downloading music/ occasional porn.

Anyone reccomend a good pc package thats user friendly and cost effective?

You could buy any $500 deal from Dell, but expect the same results in 2 years, you will need to get a new computer. How much are you looking to spend?

Most user friendly computer is a Mac, not a PC, in my opinion. And I used windows exclusively for 7 years before switching.

Let me know how much you are wanting to spend and I will throw some ideas out there.

Probably around $500 or less would be great. I really dont use it for anything but surfing the net and dling music, so I dont need anything special. Thanks for the help.
