My CNA's (certified nursing assisstants) decided that they wanted new/different uniforms. The one they dicided on has a small angel on the uniform top. One of the aids has since come to us saying that she cannot wear the uniform because of the angel on it. WTF? Even if you aren't Christian or even if you're an atheist, why in the hell would you be offended by an angel? For the most part it's figurative anyway, some of our residents call them angels on a regular basis and God knows none of them are angelic, lol!

I'm not offended by religious symbology but I wouldn't wear something that implied I supported a religion.
Sounds like she has strong integrity, even when she is outnumbered and trivialized she stands strong - she must be an atheist.I could not wear a symbol, that implied I supported a religion, every day for at least 8 hours, that undermined my core beliefs.

Re: Angels
Maybe she doesn't want to explain to every person she runs into what it means when they ask "what's the angel stand for?"

"To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world."

Aerobics: a series of strenuous exercises which help convert fats, sugars, and starch into aches, pains and cramps! (that's why I don't do 'em LOL)

Re: Angels
Well, I think this just shows "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" the same goes for offence. For her, the angel wouldn`t work... Really, this is probably God`s test for you. You have a simple request for someone and they don`t do it because they choose to. How do you react?
