Don't worry about life, you're not going to survive it anyway.

      Re: UFO's

I say sure, why not? I think that 99% of what is seen is not alien life but I also think it's a bit egotistical to believe we are the only intelligent life out and about. I remember reading something about the "Drake Equation" that figures on thousands of possibilities of life in other galaxies.

        Here it is.

The Drake equation (also known as the Green Bank equation or the Sagan equation) is a famous result in the speculative fields of xenobiology, astrosociobiology and the search for extraterrestrial intelligence.

This equation was devised by Dr. Frank Drake (a professor at the University of California, Santa Cruz) in the 1960s in an attempt to estimate the number of extraterrestrial civilizations in our galaxy with which we might come in contact. The main purpose of the equation is to allow scientists to quantify the uncertainty of the factors which determine the number of extraterrestrial civilizations. In recent years, the Rare Earth hypothesis, which posits that conditions for intelligent life are quite rare in the universe has been seen as a possible refutation of the equation.

The Drake equation is closely related to the Fermi paradox. It was cited by Gene Roddenberry as supporting the multiplicity of starfaring civilizations shown in Star Trek, the television show he created.

        The Drake equation states that:

        where:

N is the number of civilizations in our galaxy with which we might expect to be able to communicate at any given time
        and

R* is the rate of star formation in our galaxy
fp is the fraction of those stars that have planets
ne is average number of planets that can potentially support life per star that has planets
fl is the fraction of the above that actually go on to develop life
fi is the fraction of the above that actually go on to develop intelligent life
fc is the fraction of the above that are willing and able to communicate
L is the expected lifetime of such a civilization

Sure, There has to be life in one of the many many galaxies out there. The universe is to large for just are one little planet to have intelligent life.

Yes and I've seen a UFO twice. Both in the exact same location. At Lake Erie obviously at night. I wasn't drunk, or high, or delusional. The first sighting I was by myself, the second sighting I saw with my ex. I brought her their to show her where it happened jokingly because she mocked me about it. Then it happened again and she nearly shit her pants. She was crying afterwards. Freaky shit is all I have to say!

That's right. Statistically it is likely that there is life on some other planets in this huge universe. However, it is unlikely that any two such planet's lifeforms could ever travel the vast gulf between each other to meet. Nothing can travel faster than the speed of light and there are just too many thousands of light years between all the planets. They get around the speed of light limitation in sci fi flicks with "warp drive" and "worm holes" but that is all quite far-fetched. We prolly can't go faster than light speed. Imagine yourself in frozen hybernation for 2000 years while your spacecraft takes you to a nearby planet that is a likely candidate for alien life. Too slow!

                          Re: UFO's

I believe that there are UFOs. Now whether or not it is an alien craft is another story, lol! The idea of an alien landing or comming into our atmosphere would prob be a rare occurance, but then think of it...Most of UFOs or even seening say the Yeti or even Loch Ness are much like finding a wild animal when they go off to die. It is hardly ever seen by human eyes, although it happens as a natural occurance. It is highly probable that alien life forms are much more advanced than ours. We are really very primitive if you think about it. To travel at or above the speed of light would not be an inprobability if you take a look a physics laws and in technology of nuclear/magnetic propulsion. I met an old man yrs ago that was a scentific engineer and was contracted by the government on projects. We got to talking cause i was in a drs office waiting for an exam. They would send him to different states and countries without knowing what the project was, and he accepted hecouldn't talk about anything as there were papers he had to sign off on before he was hired. He told me that 20yrs before he retired, they were working on things that were 40yrs out and he had some kind of Omega 1 Blackbird or something like (there were different levels of Omega clearance) clearance that he needed to get even into the areas where they were working. Not even high level diplomats or even the President would be able to know about or get in. He said even back then, they had the tech to easily run a man made vehicle or craft without any emmisions or waste bi product, that can travel much faster than the speed of sound. He told me back even in the Hoover days they were working on projects that far advanced then what we civilians cant even imagine right now. I would bet that even if an alien craft were flying by, that they are prob checking us out and wondering what the hell are we, like we are some kinda insects and what kind of stupid communications we have that we have to actually make these stupid sounds to communicate to others, lol!
