Okay I don't know if anyone else has noticed and become frustrated by this but I am tire of companies using these no reciepts that fade after a month or two. Some of my reciepts faded so bad they are literally unreadable!
This is a very deceptive practice on the part of many companies. They are using this as a way to stop you from proving you purchased the item from their stores.
1. If you need to warranty an item and prove the original date of purchase how are you supposed to do that if the reciept faded and you can't read it anymore??
2. If someone tries to claim you have something of theirs when you really purchased it how are you supposed to prove you purchased it if the reciept faded and you can't read it?
3. How are you supposed to use it for tax purposes if the reciept date and amount faded?
These are just some of the reasons why these reciepts are bad. We need to put our foot down and stop letting companies and governement agencies walk all over the citizens of this country.
The FTC says it will deal with situations only if enough people call in about the same issue. I would appreciate it if any and all of you that read this take the time out to call them really quick and tell them you are tired of fading reciepts that fade after as little as 60 days from companies like WalMart, Circuit City, Best Buy, Blockbuster, Lowe's, Home Depot! Our voices will be heard if people stand up! If they don't it will be just like the gas problem, JUST GET WORSE!!!
