affirmitive action in recruiting and admissions

regardless of sat or talent. is this fair , what do you think ?

i think affirmative action is complete bs in any form. i dont think that just becuase someone is a minority that they should be "given" positions. if a white person can do the job better, the white person gets the job. if a black man can do it better, the black man gets the job. simple as that

3vandoo, it has been like that for a while in the US. there are a ton of reasons why people who support affirmative action do. my favorite is that they need reparations and more advantages for what happened to their ancestors. so now i have to pay for something my ancestors did to their ancestors? well then, i have never been covered in chocolate and thrown from the eiffel tower, but dammit, i want payback for it.

i could go on for hours ranting about the way things are today, but i wont bore you all.

well me In Canada they dont have ancestors!

In my provinces, there 115 k blacks on a population of 11 millions people

its 98% catholics and french at 96%

then why the government need to give job to minorities at 25% when they are not even 2% of the population

last year the Montreal BUs commission were hiring 1000 bus drivers

they had RATIO!!!!!!!!

40% women
25% BLACKS
15% minorities

the rest well white man!

what happened all the applications sent were made by real bus drivers with experiences but not hired because they were white french and male!



and I can go on and on!!!

oh yeah look at the government adds and site, half of the pics are minorities

haha, how can i call you racist when your and my country is the real racist. how can you be any more racist than that. discriminating against the white culture so that a minority can have a "fair" chance. it is crap. everything shouldn't be equal, and it hurts my brain to think of any reason why it should.
