This damn virus is in C:\System Volume Information\_restore{F845E3DB........

My virus software will not search the System Volume Information file. As a matter of fact, I can't even view the file. How the heck do I delete it? I've looked online and there is nothing useful at all.

LOL! Yeah, I've done that before. No thanks.

But, I did search the long part that comes after 'restore' in registry edit and deleted every one and rebooted. So far so good. I went to 'Start', 'Run', then typed 'regedit'. When the registry came up I went to 'Find' and typed in the whole alpha-numerical thing. It found 6 of them.

However, I do not recommend anyone mess with the registry unless you know EXACTLY what you are looking for.

I usually type msconfig at the run menu and go to selective startup and start unchecking boxes. the less stuff that automaticly starts up when you boot up the better. plus it makes your computer run faster.

Turn off System Restore, then turn it back on.

Windows won't allow any anti-virus software to access the System Restore folders - turning off System Restore will delete everything in them, including all restore points.
