BEFORE WE GIVE OUT "FRIDAY REPS" TODAY...

LETS HOLD OFF THIS WEEK AND GIVE OUT REP TO FOLKS THAT DO OUTSTANDING SERVICE GIVING ADVICE, HELPING FOLKS, AND NOT TURN REP POINTS INTO A POPULARITY CONTEST.

THAT WILL MAKE US ALL STEP UP AND BE A "MENTOR" TO SOMEONE THAT MAYBE DOESNT KNOW EVERYTHING THAT IT TOOK ALL OF US SO LONG TO LEARN. WE ALL WOULDNT HAVE OUR KNOWLEDGE IF SOMEONE DIDNT "MENTOR" US IN THE BEGINNING. I KNOW I LEARNED A LOT FROM FOLKS WHEN I FIRST STARTED. LETS MAKE FG A PLACE THAT FOLKS COME TO FOR ANSWERS BECAUSE OF OUR KNOWLEDGE.

THAT WILL HELP KEEP ALL OF US LEARNING AND REFRESH OUR MEMORIES AS WELL.

just posting...no reps. i think everyone should just post something, and if that particular person has helped you out in some way, give rep then and tell them why in the rep...sounds like a good idea.

We should have two scales. One for "reputation" (personality, popularity, sense of humor and that stuff) and the other strictly for "knowledge" (advice giving). That way it's not a popularity contest and we all start out even.

i agree O2. rep is earned and when it is given away freely it makes it where it means no more than you have a bunch of bros that rep you even if you got it all from helping folks out.
