Funny thing is you think your hardcore then something like this happens and you feel like a girl scout. He is just sitting there lookin up at me with this face and all i can think about is how these are his last days

Seriously bro. Putting my dog down crushed me for at least 3 months.

I'm sure you are aware of this but sometimes it takes somebody to say something to make it click. Your pets ( especially life long pets) are part of you. They feed off your emotions and act according to your emotions. it's going to be tough but don't go acting all depressed like its his last days bc he will more than likely feel it and maybe even become a bit more ill.

I'm telling you CJ, the second my dog new that i knew it was all down hill from there and VERY rapidly. Until that point it was like there was nothing wrong.


Stay strong, who cares that its a cat, friends and loved ones come in many forms and if somebody doesn't understand then f*uck them!

Listen CJ i know you love this cat, but is this a terminal tumor or is this something the doc is making sound bleak because of a money issue? I know a tumor by the spine is major, but it may not be as critical as the vet is making it sound. I know for a fact many vets, if they know a customer can not afford an expensive surgery they will purposely exagerate or overplay the downside, so as to take the burden off the customer. My wife and i have helped many ferral cats and take them to the vet that the cat rescue chapter in our area uses, as they are much cheaper than the vet we use for our house pets. All you have to do is call your local major pet store like Petco or Petsmart and ask the manager. They will usually know the phone # or name of your local cat rescue. To give you an idea, we took a female ferral cat in and got her neutered, all the up to date shots, including FIV for $55. Most vets would be upwards of $150. Hell, so what if the cat maybe walks with a limp, maybe not, but at least you will know you did everything you could.

I had to put my cat down. it was an indoor cat but snuck out and got infected with feline lukimia. it was so hard to see it wither away and get skinny and sick. I couldn't stand to see it suffer, so i had to put it to sleep.

Sorry to hear that bro, I know how you feel. Tommorow morning I have to take my dog (duke) to the vet to be put to sleep already, he is 11 years old but his back legs dont work anymore, he can barely walk. Breaks my heart, when he see's me get home, he starts crawling to me even though he can hardly move.

I was going to put him to sleep today, but no way am I doing that on a day 666. Tommorow will be a bad day for me.
