Speaking only for myself, I have found that McAfee and Norton don't catch everything. I have used both and would still get viruses. I finally was instructed to get System Suite from VCOM and it is awesome. This is what I experienced first hand: I had Norton on my pc and McAfee on my wife's pc and they were not running right. However, neither detected any viruses. When I installed the System Suite on my pc is literally found over 10 viruses that Norton couldn't. My wife's pc found even more. My thoughts are that the people who wirte these viruses do so in a way that they put special code in them so that McAfee and Norton don't recognize them. This is just my assumption. With that said, all the pc geeks I know use System Suite and Ewido. The latest version of System Suite (#6) has an anit-spyware program but I still use the ewido to get rid of that stuff. IMO, a combo of the two is the best. ewido is free at www.ewido.net and the System Suite you can get at Best Buy.
