Whats with this? I see so many men and women at my gym going from machine to machine doing every muscle in thier body on the same day. Are they really all that unknowledgeable? I feel like walking up to this one guy and just ask what he thinks hes doing.

Re: People doing all muscle groups on one day at the gym?
When I miss a few days I'll work everything on my day back.Leaders did what others weren't willing to do, now they enjoy the things that others do not.

Re: People doing all muscle groups on one day at the gym?
Basically when I see people training in a fashion that I feel isn`t as efficent as it could be I try to remind myself that at least they are in the gym and give the unknowlegeable trainer respect for showing up if nothing else.

Re: People doing all muscle groups on one day at the gym?
If memory serves i thought that 3 full body workouts a week was the way a novice was supposed to train for say the first 6 months. I still have one of the charts i used to use around here somewhere. Very low volume moderate weight focusing on building a base. I made good gains doing this. I cant believe that anyone would start weight training working out 4 or 5 days a week. Sounds like a good way to get nowhere to me.

My brother does this and I told him that it's not going to net him the results he would get if he broke things down into seperate days.
For some reason many people don't take the time to research things before they start out.
