  • One awesome lady

My Maintenance guy's sister died the other day after a long hard fight with cancer at 55 years old. This woman deffinately has my respect. It started out about a year ago with breast cancer. To make a very long story short, it spread everywhere: lungs, liver, kidneys and brain. She was given 2 weeks to live about 3 months ago but would not give up on life or her faith. She wanted to attend her funeral "party" so, in severe pain (she wanted to remain coherant so very little pain meds), she planned this big party with all of her friends, and family and she had a very good time. She took her retirement money and bought her son a car (his 1st new one) and when I say bought I mean she went oxygen tank and all to the dealer and got the car. There is so much more that I could go on about that this lady did in her final weeks but I think you get the picture. I just wanted to share a little about her with you guys cause to me she is the picture of strenght and inspiration.

Don't worry about life, you're not going to survive it anyway.

Sounds like a saint! That is the way to go about life. Even if you are near the end, do something for ppl to show your love and humility.
