    GRACIE IS GOING TO CHOKE HIM OUT, DON'T KNOW WHAT ROUND BUT IT WILL HAPPEN, HUGHES HAS GOT SLOPPY AND AROGANT IN SOME MATCHES (BJ PENN) AND PAID THE PRICE. HE WILL OUT MOVE & MUSCLE GRACIE I'M SURE BUT THAT IS WHAT ROYCE PLAYS OFF OF. I HOPE FOR A 5 ROUND BATTLE ENDING BY CHOKE IN THE FIFTH.

      Yes, Hughes is great on the mat, especially his wrestling skills, however Gracie isnt like the others Matt has encountered on the ground. I think Matt Hughes is going to try his damnest to keep it a stand up fight and will ultimately win with a knockout, maybe even while on the ground.

        Tito ortiz tried to fight Chuck Liddel's kind of fight, and Chuck made him regret that decision. I think if Matt stays level headed, he can get the fight to a stand up position every few minutes, then tag Gracie with a few fists. I think Royce's age might be a factor too.

              IN ALL OF HUGHES LOSSES, HE HAS BEEN MANHANDLED ON THE MAT, BJ PENN (BJJ) JUST OUT CLASSED HIM THE FIRST MATCH WIN BY REAR NAKED CHOKE, DENNIS HALLMAN SMOKED HIM TWICE ON AN AVERAGE OF 30 SECONDS BOTH TIMES, VERISIMO (BJJ) TOOK HIM THE DISTANCE, SHAWN SHERK TOOK HIM INTO THE FIFTH, GEORGE ST. PEIRE WHO I BELIEVE WOULD WOOP ON HUGHES IF THEY FAUGHT AGAIN, IN ORDER FOR HUGHES TO WIN HE HAS TO HAVE EVERYTHING GOING FOR HIM AND A FLAWLESS MATCH AT FULL SPEED.

                      I AGREE VERY UNDERATED, MY OPINION AND MANY OTHERS HE HAS THE BEST WRESTLING SKILLS OUT THERE ,EVEN BETTER THAN HUGHES AND TRIGG, AND AS FAR AS CONDITIONING, SHIT JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE GUY RIPPED TO THE HIGH HEAVENS. I HOPE HE GETS HIS CHANCE FOR THE TITLE.

                          i dont think he is underrated as he is the #1 contender.

                          i also think people dont give matt his due. he will beat st pierre when they fight again as he will beat gracie who hasnt the strength to deal with hughes.

                          hughes got beat by penn because he got sloppy he has become quite proficient at BJJ since as his armbar win over st pierre and other submission wins prove. he is a well rounded very strong fighter.

                          gracie is a BJJ fighter with nominal striking. yeah he has fought much bigger guys but that was when BJJ was exotic and really unknown.

                          matt is the pinicle of what MMA has become and i dont see him loosing his belt soon

                              Yeah I think Hughes will win but I would love to see Gracie pull one out .Age does matter now Gracie at his prime Gracie of course !

                                the game has changed drastically since gracie dominated. ever fighter is well rounded. its not gonna be much of a fight. matt hughes is gonna hurt him.
                                matt is an all america wrestler and a freak of nature.
