What would you do ?

The other day an 18 year old russian girl was stabbed to death in Vancouver while she was working behind the counter at a local fast food restaurant,..no reason at all. Just some mentally challenged a$$hole thought it would be cool is all.. Now all the people that witnessed this horrible assault just stood and watched,..the guy even paused to see if anybody was looking.. Now with all the so called bad asses strutting around with their chests all puffed up and crap,..why didn't anybody stop this guy ? The store was full of all these young bad asses and big dudes ! Would I put my life on the line to help a kid who's life was in danger ? Not only as a first responder, but as probally one of the few handfull of people that is actually for real I would have gave it my best shot ! It just seems like nobody gives a shit anymore,..like saying hello or good morning to a total stranger, rather than look at the ground as you're passing someone by. Or holding a door open for a woman carrying a child,..or the ever so popular shitbag who's time is more important than you and your familys saftey who dangerously cuts you off when the lane merges to get behind the ass dragging moter home or truck in front of you.

I always hold the door for both men and women....... i always say hello to strangers...... I always let people in , in traffic.... and you can rest ashure that i would have cracked that guys skull wide open.

i have been in a few situations where i didnt have to think... and my body naturally reacted... I think this would be one of those situations.

I can't stand how when you hold the door for people and they can't even mutter a simple "thank you"! Now I don't do things to get a thank you, but I do expect others to be just as considerate as myself and have some freaking manners.

Anytime I open the door and people don't say thank you I'll loudly say "YOUR WELCOME"! People always looks so surprised and sometimes I'll say "Yeah it's pretty surprising that people don't have manners anymore isn't it?!"

I think my biggest complaint in life is dealing with all of these self absorbed saps that never think of anything else but themselves! I don't get why people think they are so damn important that they can't stop to be polite. Well atleast this thread is a good indication that there is still a few of us left that actually do try to make the world a better place by thinking of others!

if i open a door or do a nice gesture for someone and they don't say thank you, i respond with a loud "YOUR WELCOME!" usually gets some sort of response,lol.

i'm with bell though, mentally challenged or not, i would have mentally challenged my fist to his face! mentally challenged or not, you KNOW that is wrong. end of story.

That sucks man! If just one of the patrons in that shop had a gun, they wouldn't have had to risk their life and they could have saved hers. My first thought is when you disarm the public, criminals are the only ones armed, even if it's just a knife.

That's the damn truth, I carry a liscensed concealed weapon on me about 90% of the time for that reason. Thats awful that not one person stepped in and helped or tried to rectify that situation.

YEARS AGO A SEMI TRUCK NAILED A MINI VAN WITH THE MOTHER DRIVING AND HER 4 CHILDREN IN IT. THE MINI VAN TOOK A DIRECT HIT. WITHOUT HESITATION I JUMPED OUT OF THE CAR AND WENT INTO THE MINI VAN WERE THERE WAS GAS FLOWING OUT EVERYWHERE WHILE THE 4 GIRLS WERE HANGING UPSIDE DOWN.I CLIMBED THROUGH THE BACK WINDOW AND UN HOOKED ALL OF THEM. ANOTHER MAN HELPED ME OUT.THEN A MAN HAD CUT LOOSE THE MOTHER WHO WAS IN THE DRIVER SEAT.EVERONE WAS FIND BUT THE DOG DIDNT MAKE IT.POINT IS I DIDNT HESITATE TO HELP OUT THE PEOPLE WITHOUT EVEN THINKING OF MY SELF GOD FORBID THE TRUCK BLEW UP.

i would have to help the best i could. because i would want somone to help my wife if she was in a circumstance that required intervention right?
