I just started managing this bar and they dont have any health benefits. I dont really need anything ( maybe some allergy pills) but was wondering in case I get sick or something what I can get instead of going in there and paying cash. I've heard of some discount script card? Also can I just buy my own helath insurance instead of going through my job?

Look online......my neighbor just got some discount insurance and prescript card because she doesnt make enough with her own business (not medicaid) it's state funded or something..she is happy as hell and has been to the dr and is on new meds for adult ADD and she is doing awesome!

when I had health insurance on my own I had it through 'Golden Rule' and my premium was $116 a month. That was with a $1000 deductible. Everything counted towards your deductible even prescriptions. After the $1000 they pay for everything including your prescriptions.Comment

If you work in a bar you need insurance, period. Especially if you are on the floor. You will, at some point or another, be involoved in fights. Taking a bottle to the head without insurance would suck ass in hospital bills.I used to have superhuman powers....until my therapist took them away.
