On a different wipeout, I hit a tree so bad I bent the front wheel and the frame!! Ever since then, I couldn't pedel and take a corner at the same time cause the tire would hit my foot!
RIP BigJim33 & GearedUp: You are sorely missed my friends.
Hindsight is always 20/20. But looking back it's still a bit fuzzy.
One time I was riding my mountain bike, it had those handle extentions that stick straight up to offer a different grip. Anyway, I was standing up looking cool and when I went to pump down with my right leg my shorts got caught on my handlbars and turned them sideways. I went ass over into the concrete and my backpack went up and crashed down right on my head stapling my face to the sidewalk. I wasn't that hurt physically, but I was embarrassed, since I was a sophmore in college and was in the middle of the quad!! Yeah, I was 20 learnin' how to ride my bike!
I was riding home from work one night on a side street with no lighting. I was pretty zoned in to the peddling and was really moving with my head down when I suddenly crashed into and through the back window of a minivan parked on the street. I was knocked out and few backwards to the pavement. I remember waking up and thinking what the fuck just happened and then thinking that it probably wasn't good what ever did happen and that I had better get out of there fast. I tried to ride but the bike was bent and contorted, so I picked the fucker up and ran the remaining 6 blocks home bleeding like a mofo. When I finally made it to the hospital and was getting stitched up the cops arrived and gave me my hat back which they found inside the back of the minivan. They laughed and said something like "talk about putting your head down and peddling".
