DJDIGGLER - you won't believe this but I agree with you on this. Look, I may not like some of the stuff on TV, but I have the choice to turn the chanel. I don't like bars, but does that mean I want them all shut down, no! I don't agree with a lot of things in this world but I'm sure as heck not going to go door to door with my disagreement. Yeah, I'm a conservative, but I don't push my agenda on everyone I meet. Most of my friends are conservative, except the guys I play football with every fall. I don't push my agenda on them either. They know not to invite me out drinking because I wont go, but on the field, we are brothers. The way we all connect on the field you'd think we were all best friends, not true. I don't have anything (except football) in common with half out team, but we come together to enjoy on common interests, not our differences. This country needs to do a better job of getting to know those you don't see eye to eye with so that you may understand why they do and say the things we don't agree with. This country needs to do a better job of trying to find the things we have in common with other people instead of focusing on the differences. There is unity everywhere, but we'll never see it when we are always looking for the things we don't like or dis agree with.

DJ, I agree with T-MAN. I too am a conserative, but like him,I do not push my views or opinions on anyone. I will have a spirited debate with you about our differences of opinion and have no hard feelings for anyone afterwards.
There are a lot of things in this world that I don't agree with, but I just turn the channel, switch the stations, or don't read the article. Our contry was founded on different beliefs, but with one common gaol in mind, to have our on country and our freedom.
I may not always agree with you or someone else, but I will defend your right to express your views.

Holy crap dude! I think it's possible conservatives and liberals can live together in harmony! Well..........Atleast the normal ones like you and I. I guess I'm starting to see the light in politics. Both sides have a certain group of people that give them a bad name which in turn gets people to stereotyping. It makes a lot of sense if you think about it.

The reason it seems like many people focus on the differences they have with people, is because with our current form of government it matters, you can vote away the rights of others. It's tribal warfare (lobbyist) fighting for the all powerful hand of government. If more people understood there is a difference between supporting freedom and supporting the choices people make with that freedom, like you and waterboy, we could find more in common with people.

I mean would you support me purchasing a prostitute for the evening? Probably not but you support that I should have the freedom to do so. Otherwise you would be pushing your agenda on people.
