    Sending money abroad

    I'd like to send money abroad..
    I checked on western union, if I send ~500$ it will cost me ~538$ (~8% tax!).
    Do you know other cheaper means to send money?
    It don't have to be secretive, it's not for drugs lol

    See how much your bank charges for a wire transfer... otherwise... there is Money Gram???

      I didn't know about money gram, I quickly checked and It look a bit cheaper! I have to see how it works.
      I don't know wire transfert, I'll ask in my bank. Is it the name of the service like money gram or should I translate the name?

        Your bank should have the capabilities to transfer funds from your account to another person's account... if you know their routing number, account number, and name/address of their financial institution...

          if you bank with a major US bank *(chase, citibank, bofa), you can do wire transfer right from your online banking. Most charge between 25-30 dollars.

          There's always USPS Money Orders.

              $8 is cheap!!! I usually pay about $40 to transfer to undisclosed locations!!!!

                I bank with a credit union and electronic transfers are free....
