Dubai man made islands

I saw the making of these on a show called Megastructures last night and was shocked at what they had accomplished. The smallest one "Palm Jumeirah" houses 120,000 people so it's basicly the size of a small city. Comparing it to the size of the others, i think you can draw your own conclusions.

The structers tiltled "the world" is comprised of 50 ( i think) islands shaped like countries and states...so you can buy you own country and or state and be the only one on it lol...

Funny that you mention it. I was listening to a radio report on my local NPR station this moring about this. I was trying to visualize it, now I can!!!

Too bad they are where they are! It would be better if they were in Mexico or something. No way in hell I would go visit anything in the Middle East, no way.

Did you guys see the inner ring of the second property? Is that Arabic writing and if so can anyone translate? It prolly says something like "Die stupid phuking American tourists!"
