Ok, it's 3 weeks since my sinus surgery and I feel alright. The only probs I've had are a head cold and subsequent drainage stopping up my ears. I'm on a second run (6 day taper) of corticosteroids to hopefully get rid of fluid. My problem is I'm weak as hell! Monday I squated and dealdifted my squat went ok, but my dl disgusted me and yesterday I benched and dammit man, I suck! Is it the surgery still making me weak or could it be the steroids, or just a combination? Should I take more time off or just not worry about the weight right now and take what I can get? Thanks.

Re: Advice
could be from the surgery still. i'd just take it easy for a while. don't necessarily NOT go to the gym, but get in some good workouts just to keep some strength. just when you feel you're starting to get too exhausted or worn out, call it a night. take it easy for another week or so til you get to feeling like 100%.

Re: Advice
Sometimes the equilibrium is off when the ears get blocked from drainage. It will make you feel alittle off balance and sometimes nausea and fatigue. Of course the cortisteroids if anything are prob helping in relieving with this. It is just a matter of waiting it out, which will take time.

Re: Advice
I would do like the others are saying.....get a good workout in but don't push it too much. Your body is trying to recover from some serious trauma. Keep eating your ass off too....that should help things.
What type of sinus surgery did you have?Vet here and there....

Re: Advice
I have often wondered about having mine drained. I have heard that doing that will sometimes help with allergies and recurring sinus infections (which I freaking have). Also heard it hurts like a biotch too.Vet here and there....

Re: Advice
Actually bro, it didn't hurt bad at all. I was keeping sinus infections, as soon as I'd get well I'd get hit again. It seems like this past year I was on corticosteroids and antibiotics more than I was off. I was expecting to be swollen and black and blue but aside from some slight swelling, to look at me you wouldn't know I had anything done at all. The pain was about like what you get from a bad sinus infection, nothing too major. I've got pretty severe allergies one of which is pine and I live in south phuking Gerogia so......... The surgery won't fix your allergies, but is supposed to help tremendously with keeping the infections at bay.
