CINGULAR, but its depending on where you live and if you travel. Cingular has the largest coverage area in the U.S. Also, in certain areas they have now launched their 2-way service as well.

          Re: cell phone providers!

I had lot of prob with Cingular. Alot of droped calls and i would even get calls where ppl would say they called and had to leave messages, because it went right into voicemail when i had my phone turn on, and my phone didn't even ring. I had my phone checked out and it wasn't my phone. They kept making excuses and doing tests, so i finally said f-it and got Verizon. So far no probs at all with them, except they do not have too many different packages to choose from or promos.

Its all about location and travel, Verizon doesn't even have a store here but they are roaming partners with Alltel since both use cdma technology. Just depends on where you live and if you need overall best coverage in U.S. or just in your hometown.

Thats a joke! I live in a major city, not a rural area, and ive done much local travel with it and the same probs. They would have to pay me to go back to Cingular, and btw, Verizon has quite a bit of coverage. Yeah, if your taveling to some remote rural are where there isn't much in population you might have some probs, but its like that with most companies.

True, All companies have dead zones but the numbers do not lie. Cingular has the largest data/communications system in the U.S. They are also the only company in the U.S. to primarily use GSM technology which is used in all the other more technologically advanced countries in the world. Its a common technology that allows you to travel worldwide and still be able to use your phone. Cingular isn't good in the midwest regions and has breaks in the Northeast but its because they are still a fairly new company (because of mergers, name changes, combining/transferring technology) and they are founded by the two largest landline companies in the U.S. which is Southern Bell and Pacific Bell (Both owned by Bell telephone but operate as two seperate companies). With all that being said, They have the largest coverage, you may just fall into one of the dead zones so you wouldn't benefit from using their services. Even though you live in a big city doesn't mean that coverage is provided in all big cities, Same goes for all other compaines.

I never liked the customer service of cingular. I didn't like the fact that they wouildn't fix my phone or give me a new one even though I had insurance! I was with them for 3 years and still wouldn't fix my phone!!! I said the hell with them and went to T-Mobile. I've been with T-Mobile for 2 years now and no complaints!

                          Re: cell phone providers!

I use Verizon and it's the best for where I live. I pay more than some people but it's important to me that I get ALL my calls and that I don't drop people. Cingular is out here, but they suck. All they did was take over the AT&T towers. People who had that service always complained about dropped calls and people who have Cingular where I live are no happier. A lot of people use T-Mobil because it's cheap but they drop call too. Last year I drove outr new car back from Texas, Dallas to be exact, and there was only a small area where my Verizon phone had no service. And rightfully so, there was like one house every 5 miles. When we go back to ATL to visit family, it's all in the network and I get great reception there too.

Lmao! What you must work for Cingular the way you talk! Zones, GSM, largest coverage, doesn't mean squat when you have consistant dropouts, probs with incomming calls, and bad customer service. I gave them many, many chances, but they dont give a S**T. Largest doesn't always mean the best in service. Im glad i switched to Verizon. ^ And that is exactly why i switched. I can't affoard to get droped calls or calls that don't even come in and go automatically into v-mail and later i find out i have missed calls from clients. Im not the only one either, ive heard the same complaints from others that don't even live in my area, so they can't blame it on a particular zone your in either.
