I recently moved to a new city, havent been working out lately and finally got my ass in the gym yesterday. Felt so good to be back. Anyhow I walk in and they tell me that the memberships areant transferable! I thought if you were a member you could work out at any Golds? Anyhow, I pay $21 something a month now and they want to have me sign a 2 year contract at $39.99 a month, a one year is around $45. Crazy the gym here sucks compared to the Golds where Im from.

Golds Gyms are independently owned. I believe the owner can do that. I worked at a gold's and the owner was a dirty fucking bastard. He didn't allow other people to work out there even if they were a gold member some other place.

There is a golds gym here that is like 40'000 sq.ft and two stories they always advertise it having 150 pieces of cardio equipment and stuff like that. I went in there once to work out b/c I knew one of the personal trainers there and I won't ever go back. A bunch of those types that buy the expensive gym outfits and i pods, sweatbands, hats sideways, different shoes everyday, I could go on and on. Just not my type of place, I use a underground old school gym. My kind of Place. LOL

they are NOT transferable at all..unless pay $80 a month and u will have access to any golds in the US from the east cost to the west cost... and there is a fee to pay $149 .......
