i think the point with sports in general , is if you keep the tickets at a reasonable price , the food the same , all involved can still be wealthy , just not bill gates wealthy. and i bet you would see alot more butts in the seats.

not an ignorant statement...just my opinion...MJ won games without another dominating player (don't give me Pippen either because he hasn't done much of anything since he's been without Jordan)...Kobe is a great player but when you have such a dominating player like Shaq it opens things up so much for the other guys...you could interchange a number of players in place of Kobe (Iverson,McGrady,Ray Allen for example) and the Lakers would still have won the past 3 championships IMHO

btw, i hate it when ppl say 'athletes are overpaid..blah blah blah'...Sports are entertainment, athletes are entertainers....you don't ever hear people saying 'damn that Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are overpaid' or 'the rolling stones make too much money'

yea they get paid more simply cause they jack up the prices every single year on tickets, food, souveneirs. For what just to pay these players more? They hiked up the prices here I think around like 20 - 30% from last year, thats rediculous. And btw, hmm I think gettin paid 10million a year to play bball is little to much.
