NO THE GOVERNMENT DOESN'T ALLOW PEEPS LIKE ME TO BE ARMED LEGALLY BUT I DO HAVE A TAURUS .44 MAG, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO GET ONE LIKE TESTRIPS .45, IT WOULD BE A LITTLE EASIER ON THE WRIST WHEN TARGET SHOOTING.

Yea you're fucked for ever and that sucks IMO...If you serve your time and have no more ties with the state, then you should be able to do as you please like a regular civilian....

In FL, once convicted, you're done for life. Can neve own a firearm. If caught with it, you can get a 5yr sentence just for having it.

This is what I keep next to my bedside, until I can carry legally.

I have a Glock 21 with the Cor-Bon 165gs' that I take when im backpacking or somewhere when im alone. Learned my lesson when I was attacked while hikeing by two dudes that beat me senseless. Nothing like the punch of a 45. Allthough I would perfer a S&W mod 66 357 with an eight inch bbl,..no worry of a jam in a battle. And it's been proven effective,... by me at one time.
