If I had to pick one, I'd say Michael Jordan. I absolutely hate basketball but I was just amazed to watch that guy play. I used to watch Bulls games all the time just to see him play. I never cared for the sport, just at how he made it look so simple.
Next would be Barry Sanders for obvious reasons. That guy was sick. Could you imagine if he played for the Rams when dickerson ran for over 2,000 yards? He would have gotten 2,500 easy. Or, if he played with the line that Emmitt had in the 90's at Dallas. Barry got robbed in Detroit. Had he played for a team with good line he would made rushing records impossible to beat. Take Jordan's era and take away Pippen and Rodman. He would have had less points because teams would have been able to put more pressure on him. That's what poor Barry had, all the talent and no supporting cast to let him capitalize on it.
damn good post !
to many to name for sure!
Dan Marino as a quarterback who better? i mean really!
michael jordan...enough said lol
My "Favority" sports players of all time would be:
Boxing- Muhammad Ali
Basketball- M.J.
Baseball- Jackie Robinson and Mike Schmidt. Robinson because he broke the color barrier and was so damn good at the game.
Football- Barry Sanders. Best damn RB to ever play the game. Hands down.
Hockey- Dave Schultz

Funny how nobody has mentioned Muhammed Ali , Rocky Marcianno (sp?) Joe Louis, Walter Payton or Carl Lewis.....
Too late. Just look at my avatar. Joe Louis was a great boxer. Great enough to be buried in Arlington National Cemetary. But I think his finances leave him off many people list. But he was a great boxer. Still, marciano, Louis, Tyson, you name it, all just a piss droplet in Ali's eyes. He would have beaten everyone of them pound for pound.

I don't know that he could have beaten marciano in his class. Rocky never lost a fight and fought anybody that would step into the ring with him whenever they wanted... Kinda like Foreman when he fought what 4 guys in a row...
You don't like Renaldo? He's on my top 10 list.
My favorite all time athelete would have to be Micheal Jordan. He carried himself well both on and off court. A very respectable man.
Oh yeah I love soccer, when I was younger it was my life. I played alot in Florida and West Germany back in the day. That was kinda an ol' skool list of favorites, but yes I do like Renaldo the guy was very impressive when I first seen him play in the world cup. There are lots of fine players both new and old that I like jus my list would go on and on. The one person that really impresses me though is the now 3 time Worlds Strongest Man Mariauz Pudzionovski ! that dude is just a bad ass, and he's even bigger than last year ! Lastnight I was sittin all alone kinda bummed and low and behold while flippin through channels, the 2005 WSM was on for three hours !! watching those guys really put a spark in me again.
