OK I LIVE W/ MY UNCLE AND HIS GIRLFRIEND LIVES HERE TO, NASTY *****, LETS SET THE SCENE HE'S ONLY A CPL. YEARS OLDER THAN ME AND HIS GIRLFRIEND IS YOUNGER THAN ME SO IT'S NOT YOUR TYPICAL OLDER UNCLE STORY ANYWAY, SHE HAS TWO LITTLE GIRLS FROM A PREVIOUS RELATIONSHIP THE FATHER A PEICE OF SHIT AND DOESN'T SEE THEM AND THEY STAY AT THE HOUSE ABOUT 4-5 NIGHTS A WEEK OR AT THERE GRANDMA'S WELL MY PROBLEM IS GUILT SHE'S TREATS THESE KIDS TERRIBLE MORE VERBAL ABUSE THAN ANYTHING FOR EXAMPLE SHE'S TELLS HE 6 YR. OLD TO SHUT THE FUCK UP OR SHE'S GOING TO BEAT HER ASS, OR YOUR A FUCKING RETARD, OR I WISH YOU WERE NEVER BORN, OR YOUR THE BIGGEST ASSHOLE I KNOW, STUPID *****, IT GOES ON AND ON AND ON, IT NEVER STOPS, AND WHAT SHE SAYS TO THE 9 YR. OLD IS EVEN WORSE IF YOU CAN IMAGINE THAT, ALL 3 OF THEM ARE ALWAYS AT EACH OTHERS NECKS, NOW WHEN I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL (SENIOR) MY BROTHERS WERE 4 AND 1 SO I NO THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A SIBLING PARENT QUARL AND VERBAL ABUSE AND WHAT;S GOING ON MAKES ME FEEL SO FRICKING GUILTY IT'S GIVING ME STRESS, I WOULD LOVE TO JUST WALK OUT INTO THE LIVING ROOM AND JUST LAY A SEVERE ASS WOOPING DOWN ON THIS ***** SO THATS WHY I'M ASKING YOU CATS TO GIVE ME A LITTLE GUIDENCE I'M GOING TO BE MOVING OUT IN ABOUT 3 MONTHS SO I WON'T HAVE TO LISTEN TO IT ANYMORE BUT I FEEL BAD FOR THESE KIDS THERE GOING TO TURN OUT TO BE HEATHEN DROPOUTS AND PREGNANT AT 13 IF THIS CONTINUES. WHAT THE HELL SHOULD I DO MY ONLY ANSWER FOR MYSELF IS TO GET A VOICE RECORDER AND TAPE ALOT OF WHATS SAID AND GIVE THE TAPE TO CHILD SERVICES AND LET THEM HANDLE IT, PLEASE HELP THE KIDS HERE.

well your idea about the tape recorder seems good, but you have to remember if they take the kids away, that system is extremely messed up..I would just talk to her and make her feel like shit about it, but dont be too much of an asshole since you have to live with her..you should put her in check though, and maybe she will realize, cant hurt

I HAVE LIVED HERE FOR A BOUT 3-1/2 YEARS AND NEVER TALKED TO HER YET. SHE IS FROM THE GUTTER AND WILL NEVER LEAVE THE GUTTER, NOT TO PAT MY OWN BACK BUT I GET ALONG W/ EVERYONE AND AM KNOWN BY MANY PEOPLE TO BE THE NICEST GUY THEY EVER MET. I GO OUT OF TOWN ON THE WEEKENDS AND START CONVERSATIONS W/ PPL I DON'T EVEN KNOW, SO WHAT I'M SAYING IS TALKING TO HER WILL NOT WORK AT THIS POINT IF I WOULD HAVE BASED A RELATIONSHIP W/ HER FROM THE START YA I COULD SEE THAT WORKING BUT I'M ALMOST POSITIVE AT THIS POINT IT'S A LOST CAUSE I COULD TALK TO MY UNCLE BUT HE IS VERY TIMID AND WOULD NOT HAVE THE BALLS WHICH IS SAD TO SAY TO SAY ANYTHING TO HER. Ppl shouldn't have kids if they cant be proper parents, imo. She really needs to go to consuling, and get herself into prospective. I personally think the kids need to be taken away from this untill she gets help. At least somewhere, where they can be properly raised. Just because she has problems doesn't mean the children have to suffer for it. How does your uncle feel about this, or is he not involved in raising these children? I hate to see situations like this, because there are so many ppl that would like to be parents and ppl like this that have them that shouldn't.

DAVE HE DOESN;T COME HOME UNTIL LATE AND LEAVES EARLY JUST TO AVOID HER AND THE KIDS HE TOLD ME THIS STRAIGHT UP. Yeah child services seems like a good idea, but the reality is that they could possibly end up in a worse situation. The only other option is to talk to her - and/or maybe try to get your uncle to talk to her. Try to help her understand that her behaviour is wrong, that these are only children and what she says in frustration can have a lasting and damaging effect. She might not take this well, but I don't see a better option. I feel terrible when I hear stories like this.

She must not realize that the way she treats them is the way they will treat their families when they get older. Not to mention that when they get old enough to fight back she's going to be in real trouble! When that does happen she has noone to blame but herself. She's teaching them that it's ok to be that way, that disrespecting someone is ok, that intentionally hurting another is ok...this will have a snowball effect for the kids as they get older and well, i can't even imagine how they will treat their significant other or their kids....

How old is she? Does she do any drugs? There has to be a root to the problem, maybe you can help her find out what that is??? She needs somebody to open her eyes to whats going on and how detrimental it is to her childrens lives, past , present and future.

I think perhaps Testy's idea is good for a start. Talk to her about it first and see her reaction and see if she follows up on your suggestions, or goes back to her old ways.

WHILE I'D HAVE TO AGREE, IF YOU COULD SIMPLY TALK TO HER AND CHANGE HER WHOLE LATITUDE ON CHILD RAISING, WELL THAT WOULD BE THE BEST....JUST DONT JACK AROUND IN INDECISION BRO....FEEL HER OUT, TALK WITH HER....JUST HAVE YOUR MIND SET, THAT YOUR DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
