          Not enough JUICE!!!! lol Cold weather drains batteries faster maybe the last battery went dead in the summer or in warmer weather thats why you are confused.If you have a dead cell in the winter its time for a new battery ,plus the oil is thicker in cold weather meaning it takes more cold cranking amps to fire up your motor..
