  • my good deed

we had a little ice storm yesterday making it it hard to drive for these Texas drivers who arent used to it.

my wife volunteered to work labor and delivery early this morning, 3:00am, because some other nurses didnt show. i went up about 7:00am to take her some breakfast with our son. (we are off, SNOWDAY! actually ice day)

i saw a lady slipping in the ice with a young child in tow. i went and helped her to her car and scraped the ice off her windshield for her. she offered me $10 i declined and wished her a happy holidays.

more than anything i am glad i got to teach my son a lesson to "do unto others as you would have them do unto you". i got that saying from some old book
"SHIAT BIOTCH, thats a big ass!"

Thats awesome. The best way for kids to learn is to see the person they respect the most do something and they will follow in your footsteps.

                Awesome bro!

I find it a little disgusting that people feel the need to pay (or offer) money to others for their kind gestures and help. I'm always one to help people in need and i really enjoy doing it, it makes me feel better about myself and hopefully it offers others a glimmer of hope that humanity has'nt gone to hell in a handbasket. As a man i feel obligated to help a woman or child with whatever they need, wether i want to or not, wether i have time or not...Much props to you Jipped, thanks for being a good guy without wanting something in return.

                rep to you

Helping people is nice, but I always find it easier to do when I have my Glock on me. Hard to trust anyone anymore.

                        Re: my good deed

i must say i have a sense of pride when i am able to help somone. this is also a curse as many people i know just EXPECT me to be there for them all the time and i feel used.

i guess its all about karma, what comes around goes around
