    need suggestions for $5,000 honeymoon

    I will be getting married in March. I need to plan a honeymoon for around $5k, want to go somewhere warm/tropical.

    Does anyone have any suggestions? Especially somewhere you haev already stayed.

          My wife and me went on a cruise to Bermuda. The beauty of a cruise is you get to stay on the ship, which means you don't pay for a hotel. You get to eat all day long on the ship, and as much as you want, so you don't have to spend money at restaurants. The only thing not included is Booze. It cost us $2200 for 2 people, and we spend 5 days in Bermuda. With booze, souveniers, and an occasional lunch or dinner off the boat, it cost us approx $3000. And I would go back tomorrow if someone asked.

            I went to Jamaica July 2004 for one of my bro's weddings and it was nice, the resort that is. All inclusive! My wife got a massage on the beach (that cost more). Talk about scoring big time, I got a 'massage' that night. All in all the trip was good but it was short. We went for only 4 days and I think it would have been better if it was longer. We stayed at the Grand Lido Braco. Make sure it's Braco, the one in Kingston is more $$$$. Also, we went through a travel agent. First I called the resort and asked them the best price they could give me directly, then I shopped the resort with travel agents. We ended up using the one that booked the whole wedding because we got a discount. The resort will run you somewhere around $280-$290 a night. The resort has free golf and I think the scuba lessons are free too, you just have to get up at the crack of dawn. They do this street party and cook all this food one night and that was the best part. Jerk shrimp! Damn, my mouth is watering just thinking about it. I'll post some pics....
