the vols made in mexico sucks big time, while the cars made in germany are quite good and reputable as their old line back in the days!
Now they cut employees in germany as they cost too much for some cheap labour in mexico and brazil for a cheap end products and people go elsewhere and they wonder why they are losing money

What 4cyl do you have that has 210hp?? I'm hoping your going to say either an srt4, wrx, or evo. Otherwise I can't think of any others that make that number stock.

Is that what you have? You said your 4 banger had 30 more than the 180hp for the older vw. That would mean your car has 210hp. So if your car has 170hp how is that 30 more hp than 180hp???
As for the WRX STI, that thing will annhilate any other 4cyl car besides the evo 8 in stock form. The evo and the sti are basically the same. One is .1 faster in 0-60, whereas the other is .1 faster in the 1/4. Sure you can make a vw fast, but you can make any car fast regardless of what it is. I was just saying that I didn't know of any other 4cyl cars that made 210hp from the factory besides the ones I mentioned, and I wondered what car you had that made 210hp.
They stopped making them. But let me tell you that is one fast ass car! I test drove one of those and I got an Eclipse GTS next to me at a light on the test drive. I looked at the salesman and he said "go ahead and show him whats up."
So light turned green and I floored it. I swear to god I must have pulled like 20-25 cars on that Eclipse. That thing was like a rocket! I'll tell you this....I test drove the new 05 vettes (both coupe & convertible) and I was more impressed with the performance of the SRT4. I know that the vette is alot faster. But for the price difference and for how small that engine is, the SRT4 has to be one of the most impressive cars I've ever driven in my life!

yeah you can make a golf turbo a 12 second 1/4 mile car very easily. They are fast cars after you toy with them!

thats the only thing those damn cars are expensive... i guess ill just stick to bikes. under 10k and faster then 99% of the cars on the street. i have drove a few srt-4 and the kick ass. they would be even better if the were 4 wheel or all wheel drive. the the old gsx or tsi.
The corrado wasn't the fastest car in a drag race, but believe me when I say it was the best overall car in its class at the time. The only car that even came close to being as balanced as the corrado was the prelude si. The diamond cars ( Talon, Eclipse and laser) were fast but always lacking in something. I happened to drive a Talon awd turbo and it was very good off the line but after about 70 mph it lagged like you were towing something. Another thing you won't find in a japanese car that you will in a german car is how refined they are.( not anymore most japanese cars are better or just as good) The shifting in a corrado Vr6 is so smooth compared to any car i've ever driven ( Prelude, Tsi, corrado G60, jetta 1.8 etc.) As for other Vr6 vw's, the vr6 truly shows its potential in the corrado. Mine pulls hard all the way to redline. even the new jettas don't compare to a 11 year old corrado slc. With that being said Volkswagen sucks and I would buy an STI or Evo or any japanese car over a new volkswagen any day!
