Fuzo, at least get a good referral to a chiropractor and a consultation with him/her before you do any surgery or get on any meds. I know way too many people who could have been fixed under QUALITY chiro care if they had known about it before the med doctor prescribed meds or surgery. It is always worth a try...

note: Not bashing med docs or trying to start a debate on the validity of Chiropractors.

                Re: HOW BAD

I have/had one in my neck. It sucks. It hurt like hell when it happened, I couldn't lift or anything. It took a long time to feel better - naproxin works for the inflammation. I still feel it every once in a while.

The key word being quality. I go to a Chiro once a week just for regular maintenance. Now, the $$ I pay is very very low because it's a friend of mine but I have very little problems. With all the football I was playing every weekend it has been a life saver. I can't tell you how many time I've pinched something and was all messed up on Monday and then fine a couple days later due to being adjusted. It's not for every case. There are some things that are not adjustable.
I used to have superhuman powers....until my therapist took them away.

I've heard alot of people say that acupuncture has cured things that were supposedly incurable. So I'd give that a shot if I were you. It's not too expensive either.
