Who sucks in MATH ??

I don`t know is it me only but I don`t know sh!t when it comes to math honestly.. everything else is fine but when it comes to math its like my brain doesn`t even work.. strange.. but its the truth..

I was thinking about going back to school.. getting associates degree in Criminal Justice.. I must make sure that I get the easiest math or don`t get one at all..

I need a calculator when I go grocery shopping.. that tells you everything..

Simple business math i can do in my head without a calculator. algebra, calc now that is a different story, lol

The only time i have trouble with math is when i do my taxes. Things never add up the way they should and i always end up paying out the nose....

My dad allways used to tell me "you'll never get anywhere without learning math". Boy was he right ! Couldn't get into the Navy or Army. I was allways shamed in front of everyone at school when I got answers wrong, rather than helped and corrected. School was allways a degrading thing for me,.. I allways stayed away from all that ever since. Cept trade schools where I allways excelled.

Math has always been like a second language to me. Seriously, I went into 9th grade with 1 credit because I got to take 9th grade Algebra while still in middle school. Math was so easy for me they put me a grade up in the fourth grade. In fifth grade my teacher taught me 6th grade math one on one. I think my worst grade ever in math was a 98, and that was because I didn't do some of the homework. Geometry, Calc, Chemistry, Physics, all the same. Anything that required formulas or processes were like second nature. My worst subject was literature, not english grammer, but the dumb ass 'read this and tell me what the author is trying to say' crap. I could never ever get that crap right. I have always been too anylitical for my own good and I read too deeply into stuff. Thus, I would usually miss the authors main topic and be focused on the wrong thing. I had to repeat literature twice in summer school because that stuff just made no sense to me. If you ask me what I read and I tell you and then you tell me I'm wrong that's just BS. How the heck can someone say I got the wrong message. It happens all the time. 10 people read a chapter and discuss what they interpret it to say and you will get atleast 6-8 different answers. It's not as black and white as history. In history you are dealing with facts, that was a nother cake walk subject for me. Geography was easy too. But that damn literature just pissed me off.

Math is definately hard for me. I struggled through many courses of it throughout school. Now geometery like anything you use on a construction site I can do all of it and if I cant I can figure it out alot eaiser than calculus or linear algebra. When I use a transit and converting decimals to fractions that just comes easy to me. I guess it all has to do with whether you like what you are using it for. If you like what you are doing then the math aspect will come eaiser to you. But back to your question, I had a buddy who could not get through precal with trigonometry with is basically the lowest math course that most colleges offer and he had to change majors until he found one that didnt require any math.

Does anyone..know if Criminal Justice requires alot of math or any math in that case.. I`m interested in obtaining 2 yr degree in C.J or Culinary School.. Chef was always a fav. profession that I always liked.

I would have to imagine it would envolve math. Just think about all the problem solving and statistical aspects of the field. Since math is nothing but problem solving, then it would be safe to assume it's in the course outline. However, I would imagine that the bulk of the outline would be the history of law. Lots of dates and facts. Uderstanding how law came to be and the changes that have been made to it over the years is probably the most important of the job. Then from there, the graduate courses are where thing will change depending on your direction.

You will always require sometype of math class. Best thing to do is look at your colleges degree requirement. Go to the school and see what is the minimum math required to obtain the degree. Usually it is just College Algebra. It's just like high school algebra just with a few more variables.

Now I am really heated up.. in becoming a chef.. god I feel like I just graduated from high school again lol.. anyways I did some research online and it`s not clear to me.. If someone wants to become a chef meaning professional chef do you HAVE to attend a 2 yr or a 4 yr college or you can go to a culinary school.. what would be the difference.

math never needs in school, im a bio major i had to take alg, trig, stat, cal1,2,and3, and phys1,and2...you cant avoid it and then you see it again in chem, nurt, biochem, gen, on on on and im a phucking science major....so your going to have to take it no matter what major
