Need a ride...

I've decided on she-it canning my 2005 Toyota Tacoma for a smaller car - specifically a Mini Cooper S. Need some thoughts/opinions if anyone has owned a Mini.

Good point about transporting stuff.

What about maintenance/repair costs? I don't have one, don't want one either, but go test drive one and see what you really think.

Wife has a Toyota Highlander... so I have that in check... Need a little ride for me to get around the island - cheap on gas but fun to drive.

Been putting it off because the closest dealer is over 100+ miles from my house. Might have to make the trip to Irvine, CA this weekend... just make a weekend out of it..

I think you'd do good with a mini. They are great on mileage and should be fun to drive, they have good torque and power for a small car too

They seem to have great reviews. Even the safety rating was 4 of 5 stars which really surprised me.

That's because it drives right under the SUV's, there isn't any collision.

I think they are made by bmw, i may be mistaken, but if so, you can't go wrong with a German made vehicle.

Okay, just had a discussion about my thought in getting a Mini Cooper with my boss. He tells me it's the gay-est thing he's ever heard me say and is thinking about reprimanding me for placing that image in his head... So what's the deal? Mini Cooper... Gay or Mini Cooper Cool? Let me know...

Well, if you're big then it's not going to be a cool car. Kinda like a big guy in a Miata. If you have that Calvin Clein model look then don't worry about it.

LOL IG. I was thinking if I should warn you about that. I was thinking about getting a mini and mentioned it to my friend and his girlfriend about a month ago and his girl started giggling at me and said "you dont think that will look funny? your kinda big for a mini arent you?" I was like wtf because 1 I am not that big at all just bigger than her bf/my friend. I still dont think it would look weird they are cool looking cars imo
