Re: Jiu-Jitsu/ Mui Thai
Two VERY respectable MA's, with BJJ covering the ground grappling and Mua Thaii giving good attacking skills. Thats the one I am looking to get into next. I took Hapkido for a little while and that was pretty cool.

Re: Jiu-Jitsu/ Mui Thai
thats awesome dude... those are two of the most practical fighting styles. i wish i had the option where i am.
I have a black belt in traditional ITF Tae Kwon Do, and it wastes so much time with tradition and history that i gave it up. I would love to work in those two styles.
krav maga is really good stuff too.... but it is a lot of practice in repetition.... they basically practice certian techniques untill they are ground into the head.... so when having to use them it is almost instinct.... very practical but not as fun to practice.

Re: Jiu-Jitsu/ Mui Thai
Sounds great bro, go for it ! I took American Kempo for a bit till I found out my instructor was a tweek. I agree Tae Kwon Do was kinda boring for me too.Leaders did what others weren't willing to do, now they enjoy the things that others do not.

Re: Jiu-Jitsu/ Mui Thai
Thats like jiu jitsu you have to practice practice practice until the moves are second nature and unlike most jiu jitsu places where they just constatly teach you submissions the gracies make you learn to pass the guard before you learn anything else so when all these other jiu jitsu guys know all these submissions when you put them in your gaurd they're like a fish out of waterOriginally posted by lxorlthats awesome dude... those are two of the most practical fighting styles. i wish i had the option where i am.
