    Mt. Jefferson It's go time !

    Well its a go, I got my permit reserved for mon/wed with tuesday being the summit. All the "Flatlanders" will be back in their busy lil world, a mocha in one hand cellphone in the other, and the temps will be in the mid 80's.. All my bro's pussed out on me again as usual, just cant get away from the game cube or their GF wont let'em,..so it looks like im going solo again. No big loss,..all the more reward of acomplishment, bud and cold brew for me right ? I'm kickin off another cycle, so I probally wont have too much tolerence for anyone being a liability and slowing me down. Been wanting to do this for the past two years,..everyone talkin' s#it about what a young bad ass they are compared to me.. Guess we'll see when I come down huh ? Anyway, I hope everyone has a good coupla days, take care and see ya soon.

              10,470 somethin'. Well I went for it, and soon as I got out of the truck I was soaked. It was 92 degrees in the shade !! Must'a been pushin the triple digits. I did take some nice pic's that I will post for y'all as soon as I get'em. I'm giving up just going to wait for the weather to cool down a bit. If I had some more people I would take the north side glacier route which looks more fun and challenging, rather than the 12 hour scree slog.

                You see, that's what I like about Pikes Peak near where I live. It's a 14er but it's always 20 to 30 degrees cooler at the top. So, every hour you get just a little cooler. However, it's an easy climb. None of that rope crap. I'm too damn big to be swinging around on some damn face of a mountain. I take the easy route and it's enough for me.
