as of yesterday i no longer work

for my everyday job! i am going to be come a full time waiter till i get my license in real estate and can start selling it i know that its gonna take time to get on my feet! i really don't know how i feel about this! i don't have a pay check coming in every friday anymore to night it really hit me HARD! it is scary i have worked at that job for the past 5 years!

Good Luck, Byron! We all have to do what it takes to pay the bills - just make sure you are willing to sacrifice security to do what will make you happy....in the long run it will pay off.

I FEEL YA BRO. I'M AFFRAID I'M AT THE END OF MY CAREER HERE...THE ECONOMY UP HERE BLOW'S AND MOVING BACK TO FLA. IS NOT IN THE CARDS RIGHT NOW....I THINK A CAREER CHANGE IS COMING, BUT IT'S HARD TO MAKE THAT DECISSION AFTER 18YRS IN THE SAME FIELD!!!...SCARY...I WISH YA WELL BRO.

if you get a waitin job at a good place you can make damn good money, especially if you bartend. my best friends is a bartender at chilis and his wife is a bartender at ruby tuesday and they make 100k combined. so you should be fine till RE gets going.

Why would you quit your job of 5yrs to wait tables, unless you weren't making much money?? You can take real estate classes in the evening and and still work, as many do? At least if you were laid off or something you would be able to collect unemployment benefits? Im not condoning being laid off, but ive seen many ppl collect unemployment benefits and get paid under the table and make more $ than working full time.

Oh, well i guess that would put him in an akward position. Did he not at least have unemployment insurance, cause at least he could have collected on that if his father laid him off.

You can do it B... i have waited tables in the past when times are tough. The customers suck, sometimes the business/traffic sucks, sometimes your boss sucks, so it's basicly like any other job. Just keep your head up and get that license and you'll be on your feet in no time.
