Duhhh.... I hate painting

I feel sooooo dull and slow. Painting has got to be the most depressing house chore. Dip brush-roller in bucket, rub the wall, repeat, repeat and repeat. Its mind numbing, I need a tool box on the back of a Ford Fiesta.

Painting the back bedroom with the window open to get the odor out. I live next door to a church and they had something going on today so I couldn't (or wouldn't) crank some tunes. My son was at work. Best bud out of town. Hate working alone.

After work Friday, came home and moved furniture. Saturday morning started caulking, sanding, taping and priming. Sunday, paint master bedroom, closet, masterbath and linen closet. Its 11:45pm and I'M FINISHED!!!

Got to go to work to get some time off! Hope everyones' week kicked-off good.

WE JUST GOT DONE PAINTING MY DAUGHTERS ROOM IT WAS ACTUAL OK SINCE WE DONT SPEAK TO EACH OTHER WHEN WE ARE WORKING TOGETHER.LOL

You see, that's what I love about the barter system. I have had my house custom painted (inside), my front and rear sprinkler system installed and new vinyl windows put in for free. Everytime I do an appraisal on someone's house I ask what they do for a living. If I like their work or have a need for their services I propose a trade out of services. I charge $350 an appraisal and most people would rather give their time than their money. Not all, but most. It's great. If it was up to me to take time off to do that stuff it would never get done.

I like to paint, but I take my time when I do it. I don't get in a rush. I trim out everything first, and make sure it's right. The last time we painted it ended up taking 2 months just to do the living room, and down two halls! The part that was a pain is that I have 9 foot ceilings and the living room has tray ceilings. Hard to reach some areas. Next is the master bed, and kitchen.
