I don't know what the deal is but I always pull muscles by doing trivial things like typing, opening the door, picking up a glass, turning my neck, or truning around.......simple stuff like that. Yet I can lift all kinds of weights with no problem. WTF I can't stand when that happens! It makes me violent!
I think you don't do enough real world movements, or functional training. Sometimes it's good to do functional training every now and then for your everyday movements. If you're not pulling muscles when you lift but you are when you trun your head then that's what I think the problem is.
However, most people do tell me they pull more muscles outside of the gym than they do in the gym. Think about it. Before you get ready to do that 405 squat you have everything in place. Your feet are right, your head is up, your back is straight, you mak a strong effort to focus. But when you bend over to tie your shoes you usually don't mentally prepare for it, you just bend over and do it. I know a lot of people who have tweaked their back doing something as simple as tying their shoe but they can deadlift 700 pounds with ease.
I used to have superhuman powers....until my therapist took them away.
I know but isn't that funny thats like a dude single handedly annihilating an entire army with his bare hands........And then getting hospitalized because he was bitten by a red ant!
