    I just discovered another lie my Ex told me...

    So I was watching a movie this weekend and realized I knew everything that was going to happen before it did. I knew I had "read" the storyline before so I started digging through old manuscripts that friends and family have given me over time (to proof read and just give my general thoughts on what they had written.)

    There it was, the manuscript that my ex boyfriend/fiance gave me back in 1999. You will never guess what movie he "copied" and said he wrote himself...

    THE NOTEBOOK.

    I swear to God. He took the time to rewrite the whole thing in word, but he wasn't even smart enough to change the title or the name of the characters. This schmuck was in med school studying to be a neurologist, but dropped out and decided to join the RCMP. (Royal Canadian Mounted Police).

    Have any of your exes ever told whopping lies?

      Are you in showbiz or something Sugar? How come you have a bunch of manuscripts hanging around?

      "The Notebook" the movie is still fairly new, and I really doubt he copied a movie that was currently out in theaters...that would surely have gotten him busted. I'd guess that the movie was based on a novel and your EX happened to read that novel.

      This guy sounds like a real piece of work. Was always trying to impress you, etc. Sounds like he knew from the beginning that you were too good for him. So he built himself up with lies..

          yeah, it was a book written by James Patterson ( I believe) years ago!

          Yeah, right from the start he began lying....for instance, he told me he had dated Marina DeBartolo, the daugther of the guy that owns the 49ers. Well, one day "marina" emails me outta the blue and we were chatting and she sent me some model shots she did of herself. They were of Carmen Electra...I think My Ex was playing "Marina" to make him look better. "Hi, My name is loser and I date models"

            oh, and no, I am not in the movie business - just people I know trust my opinion when I proof something or they hit a writer's block. My cousin is actually on retainer for a movie she wrote. It is kinda like "sex in the city" for guys. (NOT like Jake in the City). I have the 'script at home.

                        Actually, most movies take a long time from the script to screen. First the script has to find a producer. Then the producer and his/her backers have to find a director and staff, then they do casting calls. Then, once everyone is picked for the movie, they have wait until everyone is available during the times they want to shoot. (winter scenes, summer scenes, etc) Sometimes it can take a decade from finished script to screen because of all the obsticles.
                        I used to have superhuman powers....until my therapist took them away.

                          But I doubt he'd be able to get access to the movie script. I'm pretty sure they guard those scripts closely.

                            Well, it depends of if he knows the person who wrote it. Or maybe he knows someone who knows the person who wrote it. It is a curious thing. Maybe, and this would suck, maybe they stole his script.

                            I don't know. It would be surprising if someone did get a copy of an up and coming movie script but not if the author was an unknonw person.
