  • The runaway bride...

What do you guys think about this?

The girl from Georgia who ran out on her husband a few days before the wedding. They discovered she actually bought her bus ticket a week before she left. My brother-in-law knew her in high school and he said she was looney before they even found her. The whole time he was saying she took off. I guess she did some real stupid stuff back then too.

Would you still want to marry her?

Would you be able to not worry about her?

Me, I'd have to see the psyche review before I progressed. Her fiance is in politics, he doesn't need this kind of sideshow attention.

there's such a double standard on this. if it was the guy, he would have been the most horrible person ever. but if its the girl, awww, poor thing. its wrong either way. even worse if she in fact had a bus ticket a week before. this was pre-meditated. she had no intention of marrying this guy. in the end, he came out the winner. good for him. she should go to jail. wasting all those tax payer dollars.

I agree, now if he's gonna be a dumbass and marry her anyway, at least he knew what he was getting into.

I agree! I got cold feet but I didn't run off or stand my wife to be up. I looked at the positive side of being married, no more running around bars taking chances with STD's. It was difficult for me but you suck it up and you do what you said you're going to do. Nothing I hate more than wishy-washy people. People who can't stick to their word or people who can't be counted on. Well, I don't hate the person, just the behavior.

Yea, no kidding! This guy is heading for a bunch of "I told you so" if he does do it. This is what I call a "Red Flag".

                      Re: The runaway bride...

there is nothing illegal about "running away" as adults, we have the option to leave and wander freely about this country without being accountable to anyone. I don't agree with what she did, but I don't think she should go to jail for it.

With that being said - what makes me angry is that she said a hispanic male and caucasion female abducted her!

that's the "jail" part...you cant do that, not for any reason...i'm not saying throw the key away, but she needs a little "time" to think about her actions!

She did break the law. She lied about an abduction. Anytime you falsify a crime you break the law. She caused huge search parties at taxpayer expense. She had the New Mexico police issue a false Amber Alert for a van which put a lot of officers into motion for nothing. She should be arrested for lying to the police and she should have to repay any expenses that are a direct result of her irresponsible actions and intentional lies.

Plus the fact that so many caring and concerned people went out and wasted their time to search for her. She's a chump for running and he is a chump if he marries her...
